How to provide permanent access to the Internet to people staying outside the country?
KEY OBJECTIVES
- Research and observation of user behavior when they are looking for a way to ensure the Internet while on vacation or traveling abroad
- Creating a transparent purchasing process for packages and modem rental
- Designing and modern design encouraging to use the application
SOLUTION
Based on the needs of the market and the order of a large company that often sends its employees on a business trip abroad, a decision was made to design a mobile application that allows constant access to the Internet and cheaper phone calls.
The purchasing process has been designed in such a way that the easiest way allows the user to top up the internet package or minutes, and to rent or buy a modem.
Designing a modern appearance of the user interface consistent with the website and advertising materials.
Research
USER INTERVIEW
Interviews with users gave specific information on the difficulties with easy access to mobile internet outside the country.
MARKETPLACE ANALYSIS
When analyzing a number of similar applications, none on the Polish market had an intuitive process and all the functions available in Surf.
Concept
The concept resulting from the needs of business and private users is very simple – creating a mobile application that allows you to buy internet packages and minutes. In addition, the possibility of renting or purchasing a modem provides everything you need to use the Internet outside the country. Another person in the app is the reseller who can sell packages on their own behalf and make money on it. Receives access to a dedicated panel with the ability to handle users and orders.
Design
BRAND
Surfie’s image was created for middle-aged and young users who are easy to use technology.
DESIGN SYSTEM
The design of the system has been implemented for the system to maintain consistency in every part of the system and any other advertising material or website. It was very helpful for developers who could use ready-made components.
WIREFRAMES
Before each key functionality, interactive mockups were created to make the process analyzed faster by the people involved in testing. Making changes at this stage could have been much smoother than it would have been on the final user interface.
FINAL INTERFACE
Based on the conclusions drawn during process testing and best practices, the final user interface was created based on the design of the system and the observation of the latest trends in design.
Ustability testing
Such advanced processes were tested on several fronts. One of them was a very in-depth internal discussion with people with many years of experience as sellers and marketers. In addition, research in the form of a survey and interviews was conducted with potential and regular users in order to collect the most valuable feedback. Of course, in addition to that, we analyzed quantitative research, in which we were helped by tools such as HotJar and Google Analytics.
Iterate
Due to the work in the Agile methodology, the delivery of ready-made pieces of the wrapping took place cyclically, which also translated into the speed of delivery of subsequent product functionalities in accordance with previously established priorities and roadmap. The development of a loop that allowed for catching errors at the design stage was crucial to save time for implementing suboptimal solutions.
